The wall of hanging dried flowers

With a basket full of flowers after a trip to New Covent Garden Flower Market, I was ready to start on the dried flower wall installation for Selfridges.

Once I returned from the flower market, I unpacked and divided flowers up into small bunches, I tied string around the stems and left them hanging to dry.

Two weeks later..

I untied all the bunches and cut down the stems and removed any leaves that I didn’t want.

I then started making little bouquets. I made sure to pay attention to height and shape by arranging taller stems near the top and back. I filled in the gaps with smaller blooms.

The display was used for Simone Rocha’s pop-up at Selfridges. The dried flowers worked perfectly for Simone Rocha’s SS17 collection.

I hope you enjoy the dried flower wall install as much as I enjoyed putting it together.
