High spirits, scoundrels and swing!

After a busy morning getting pampered, I was ready to go out and celebrate my birthday.

I picked to wear a Archive by Alexa Chung black velvet dress, black pumps, polka dot tights, vintage Swarovski necklace and earrings. I finished my look with a Shrimps black faux fur clutch.

My boyfriend was dressed in a black double breasted suit, teamed with a vintage Daniel Wellington watch and tan Dr. Marten shoes. Very dapper!

We celebrated at Cahoots, a 1940s themed bar in an old air raid shelter disguised as a tube station, tucked away just off Carnaby Street.

You enter by descending a staircase, which looks like one of the old wooden escalators that used to lead down to the tube – marked “to the trains”.

Enter through the ticket hall and you’ll instantly find yourself in an intimate, buzzy cocktail den containing a replica 1940s tube carriage complete with vintage adverts visible on the exposed brick wall through the windows.

I loved every aspect of this quirky place. Fun, different and very charming. I cannot recommend this place enough.

A big thank you to my boyfriend for organising such a special evening!
